Before you head out

A few things to pack.

01

Unpack your copy

Download the ZIP, right-click it and choose Extract All. Open VerdantResonancePlaytest.exe in the extracted folder. Keep the files together.

No Godot installation needed. This is an unsigned Windows prototype.

02

Go at your own pace

Follow the game’s opening prompts. Try things. Get a little lost. You don’t need to read up on the world before you begin.

Use Save and quit from the Actions menu when you need a break.

03

Bring someone along

For couch co-op, connect two controllers before launching. Press on the second controller to join.

One PC, two people, one shared world. Online multiplayer is not included.

Your observations matter

Leave us
your field notes.

We want to know what made sense, what didn’t, and what made you curious. There are no right answers.

  1. Where did you first feel unsure what to do?
  2. What changed because of something you tried?
  3. Would you play another day? Why, or why not?

My download link has expired.

Ask the person who invited you for a fresh link if yours has expired or already been used. You won’t lose the copy you already downloaded or your saved game.

Something went wrong in the game.

Tell us what you were doing and include the build name shown above. Screenshots help. If possible, use Actions → Export playtest logs and send summary.json and events.jsonl with your report.

Does the playtest upload my gameplay?

No. The game records playtest events locally on your PC. You choose whether to share those files. This site uses aggregate hosting statistics, such as total requests and delivered data. It does not use visitor tracking cookies or advertising scripts. Invitations store access status and times, without asking players for names or email addresses. Hosting providers still process normal connection information.

How do I try a new build?

Use the new invitation you receive and extract it into a new folder. Your existing save is stored separately. If the test needs a fresh start, use the game’s restart option only when you’re ready to reset your playtest progress.
